It's been several weeks since I read the text of the Pope's comments but I recall that the comment regarding violence was not the Pope's original words but simply a quote from a much earlier writing. I also recall that his comments were inclusive of Chrisitanity implying that th ePope was not singling out Muslims but rather all religions. My opinion is that the negative reaction of Muslims, not all Muslims, though, is that they picked up on only what they perceived as a slap at Islam. I don't think that was the intended message. Rick
